Marvel has released a new image for the third installment of the franchise Guardians of the Galaxy. The photograph shows Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), the apparent new villain of the UCM and who is a character genetically modified to eliminate superheroes. The new character’s story in the movie will be completely different from the one he has in the comics. In the comics, Ayesha is the female version of Warlock, but in the movie he is created by Ayesha, sovereign leader and high priestess of a genetically engineered alien race known as the Sovereign, to destroy the Guardians.
In the comics, Adam is an artificial cosmic being genetically engineered to be the next evolution of humanity. While the character’s film debut differs slightly from the comics, the general presence of him is similar. In the image revealed by the magazine Empirethe villain can be seen in his full suit, with a red cape, his golden skin and a Soul Gem on his forehead.

The site recently spoke with James Gunn about the new character and what comic book fans can expect from this addition. When asked if Adam would be friend or foe, Gunn explained, “It’s a little more complicated than that, but he’s definitely not a nice guy. What we’re looking at is Warlock’s infant form, fresh out of a cocoon, and he doesn’t understand life very well. He’s basically a baby.” The director said of Poulter: “People were like, ‘Oh, Tom Cruise should be Adam Warlock.’ He wanted someone young, and someone with dramatic chops. Y comedic, not just for this movie but for whatever Marvel will use Adam Warlock in the future.”

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” released a new trailer and several posters
The third part of this saga will hit theaters on February 16 and these are the latest news from the new Marvel movie
Those who are not familiar with the comics, after seeing this character in the Marvel trailers, wondered who Adam Warlock is. Warlock’s introduction in Guardians 3 makes a lot of sense, considering that throughout history the comic character has been a common ally over the years for teams like the Fantastic four and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Before he emerges from his alien cocoon, here are the most important things to know about Marvel’s messianic hero.

“The Whale” and the great return of Brendan Fraser can be seen soon in theaters
The actor recently won best actor at the 28th Critics Choice Awards and viewers are eagerly awaiting his performance on the big screen.
Its origin
Originally, the Marvel Comics character had another name, being known only as “He”. He was initially a powerful being genetically engineered by a group called the Enclave. However, escaping from his grasp, Adam ventured into the cosmic world to find his own way. This led to him meeting the likes of Lady Sif, Thor, and the High Evolutionary, with the latter dubbing him the Warlock and granting Adam the Soul Stone.
Adam learned a lot about humanity and morality while trying to control his newfound Infinity Stone. The character later sacrificed himself during a battle with the original Captain Marvel and the Avengers. Upon resurrecting, Warlock led the Marvel heroes against Thanos in Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity Crusade and infinity war, and finally defeated his archenemy. Adam’s powers are only matched by those of the Mad Titan. While his physical strength isn’t on the same level as the Hulk’s, he has many other abilities that rank him as one of Marvel’s most powerful beings.

The Enclave succeeded in creating a perfectly built humanoid with golden skin. Warlock emerged from his birth pod with incredible strength, telepathy, and energy manipulation powers. But due to his telepathy, he was able to sense that his creators had shady plans for the world. Disgusted with them, he destroyed his laboratory and escaped. The integration of this character into the MCU could strengthen the team in case he remains for the lineup of the team of Guardians of the Galaxy 4. Some of these powers include his ability to fly, enhance his strength, fire energy blasts, and regenerate from many injuries by retreating into a cocoon, not unlike the one he was born in.
Adam Warlock vs. Thanos: first round
On one of his journeys through the cosmos, Adam comes across an intergalactic cult led by a madman named Magus. To stop him, Adam forges an alliance with Thanos and his daughter Gamora. But then Warlock finds out that he himself is a Magus but from the future. A version of himself driven insane by overuse of the Soul Stone. The character defeats his “self” from another reality and then turns against Thanos when he discovers the other five Infinity Stones. Adam defeats Thanos by turning him to stone. This seems to indicate that Marvel’s Warlock is stronger than the Mad Titan in some ways, at least in the comics. After the character overcomes the villain, his consciousness finds a new home in the Soul Stone, the world of the soul.

Adam Warlock the most powerful MCU hero?
Given Warlock’s powers in the comics, it’s hard to see how the character would come off as the underdog of the MCU heroes. Whenever speculation begins about who the strongest characters are, names that are often mentioned include Thor, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange. In Avengers: Endgamemany began to label Captain Marvel as the most powerful after fans of Avengers: Infinity War first gave that title to Thor and Doctor Strange. However, starting with WandaVision in phase 4, Scarlet Witch became the most powerful character in the MCU.
Warlock’s abilities in the comics are very similar to those of Captain Marvel. This would surely put him at least on a level playing field with Carol Danvers, potentially even surpassing her if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 gives him his regeneration abilities. Given the clues that Adam Warlock will be the villain of guardians 3., he would have to present a threat big enough for the greatest team of superheroes outside of the Avengers to take him down. This would do it, if his origins and powers are shown in guardians correctly.

There is a possibility that the inclusion of Adam Warlock in Guardians 3 may only be the beginning of his journey in the Marvel universe, given the character’s potential. Despite the fact that he is considered to be the villain of the film, it is a safe bet to assume that he will join the Guardians in the end. Like most superheroes and the sequel to it, it was about team members on journeys of self-discovery and the search for a family. While the MCU has already changed Adam Warlock’s comic history, his character’s trajectory could be similar, being sent by the Sovereign with one goal in mind before traveling to find out who he really is.
Who will play Adam Warlock in the MCU?
Will Poulter will play Adam Warlock in Guardians Vol. 3. The British actor is known for his role as Eustace Scrubb in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, maze runner Y maze runner: the death cure, the revenant, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and the horror movie midsummerwhere things did not go well for his character.

Adam Warlock fills a gap in the MCU lineup
Warlock’s powers and his great importance to the history of Marvel Comics allow him to fill a gap in the current roster of MCU heroes. After Infinity Saga, Marvel lost Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, while the respective futures of Thor and Wanda Maximoff remain uncertain. Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and the Hulk are still active in the Marvel universe, but Adam is a completely different character. Adam could even open doors for him to adapt comic book stories like world war hulk.
Yes Secret Wars leads to the introduction of the Beyonder, who in Marvel Comics is literally the sentient will of the multiverse, only the powers of Adam Warlock could stop what’s coming. In any case, Will Poulter’s Marvel character is destined to change the future of the MCU and more importantly, adds another great character to the side of the heroes before the next Thanos-level threat emerges.
