Jeremy Renner, star of Marvel, is in critical condition after suffering an accident

The American actor and producer Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel factory films, is in a “critical but stable” situation after suffering an accident shoveling snow.

”We can confirm that Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries sustained after having an accident related to weather conditions while removing fallen snow,” the actor’s representative confirmed to Variety magazine.

“At approximately 9 a.m. on January 1, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury in the Mt. Rose Highway area of ​​Reno, Nevada,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. The actor had to be transferred by helicopter to the hospital urgently this Sunday, January 1.

“His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care”added the representative. No further details were available on the extent of the actor’s injuries.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Renner was the only one involved in the accident. Local media claimed that the incident took place while the actor was using a heavy vehicle, a snowplow, to clear snow from around his house.

Although the place where he suffered the accident has not been confirmed, the publication recalls that Renner, 51, has owned a house in Washoe County, in the state of Nevada, for several years.

The ranch he owns on Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains was hit by a winter storm on New Year’s Eve that saw 35,000 homes without electricity, as reported by The Guardian. Much of the US has been hit by the “blizzard of the century” over the past week, with at least 60 people dead across the country.

Renner has starred in multiple projects in the Marvel saga. In addition to being an Avenger, the actor has acted in numerous commercial and critical successes, including two films from the “Mission: Impossible” series, according to the film magazine.
