Joining them will be Gaia Wise as Hera, the daughter of Helm, who helps defend her people, Luke Pasqualino as Wulf, the ruthless leader of the Dunlendings who seeks revenge against Rohan for the death of his father Freca (voiced by Shaun Dooley), Laurence Ubong Williams as Fréaláf Hildeson, Helm’s nephew and Rohan’s successor to the throne.

Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, Benjamin Wainwright, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna, and Janine Duvitski have also been cast in undisclosed voice roles as of yet.

Behind the scenes, the film is being directed by Kenji Kamiyama. Oscar winner Philippa Boyens, who was part of the original writing team for the trilogies of The Lord of the rings Y The Hobbitwill executive produce alongside producer Joseph Chou.

Also returning to the project are former members of the creative team from The Lord of the ringsOscar winner Richard Taylor and Tolkien illustrator John Howe.

The script will be based on a script by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews and will be set some 250 years before the events of the original film, known as the third age, while the new series will take place during the second age.
